These are the Terms of Service for using DutyRadar. By signing up for an account or calling the API you accept them. They form a binding contract between you and us. We've tried to keep the legalese to the minimum the actual contract requires.
You sign up, get an API key, call /v1/classify within your tier's quota, and we tell you whether the User-Agent is the bot it claims to be. We try hard to make the answer accurate but we don't guarantee it. You don't share your API key, you don't use the service to do illegal stuff, and you accept that if something goes wrong our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months (which today is zero, on the free tier).
DutyRadar provides verification of declared AI-bot User-Agents via a public HTTP API plus an embedded verifier on the landing page, a dashboard, an MCP server, and supporting documentation. The service is provided as software-as-a-service from api.dutyradar.com and the marketing surface from dutyradar.com.
You won't use DutyRadar to:
If you find a security vulnerability, please email hi@dutyradar.com instead of disclosing it publicly. We'll respond.
The free tier is free. Paid tiers, when they exist, are billed monthly in advance via a third-party processor. Quota is per calendar month, in UTC, and resets on the first.
Once a payment has been taken, refunds are at our discretion. We won't be jerks about it.
We aim for the service to be up and accurate but we don't promise it. The classifier depends on third-party signals (IP allow-lists, signature directories, reverse-DNS) that vendors change without notice; sometimes our snapshot is stale until the next refresh. The verdict is a best effort, not a legal certification.
Specifically, we don't promise:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In those jurisdictions, the limitations apply to the maximum extent allowed.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
You can terminate at any time by deleting your account (email hi@dutyradar.com from your account address; self-serve deletion is on the roadmap). We can terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service (which we'll communicate in advance where possible).
The clauses on Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law survive termination.
We can update these Terms. For material changes, we'll email account holders and bump the "Last updated" date at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after that date is acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from them will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Bucharest, Romania.
If you're a consumer (not using the service for business purposes) in another EU member state, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply where they conflict with this clause.
